Our Pain office IPS open only for New Patients. By Governor Beshear’s mandate we are CLOSED for elective pain procedures.
Potential New Patients: New Patients left out in the cold without pain medication or a pain doctor due to the rash of doctor office closings can be seen by us under certain conditions:
After calling (859) 957-0700 or using our web site to get an appointment, come to our office if you are relatively healthy. You would be screened for the virus and kept at 6-10 feet from anyone else. We will obtain your history. Physical exam will be deferred. If medically necessary, we may decide to give you a bridge pain prescription until a more thorough evaluation can be completed later. We understand your situation and want to help.
Existing patients: Do not come into our office this month unless you have a progressive pain disease like CRPS/RSD or Post Herpetic Neuralgia. All others stay at home. We will call you by phone during your regular scheduled appointment or earlier. We may be able to send your pain prescription by computer to your pharmacy. We will give you your next appointment 4 weeks later that will be scheduled exactly for the same plan you had this month. It is best if you have a computer or smart phone as we will try to do a Tele Doc program so you can see one of our Providers face to face. …..
